MCC Students Recognized for Academic
Excellence at Honors Night

MADISONVILLE, Ky.— Over 30 awards were presented at the Madisonville Community College (MCC) Honors Night held in April.

The Gardner Awards are given in memory of Dr. William C. Gardner for his dedication to the medical profession and his interest in students in health related occupations.The recipients of this award are selected by their fellow students as the “most ideal student” in their respective programs.Trover Health System sponsors these awards each year. The following students received Gardner Awards:

Medical Information Technology: Melissa Poe, Madisonville; and Angela O’Leary, Marion

Physical Therapist Assistant: Vickie Bethel, Greenville

Radiography: Donna Spangler, Clarksville, Tenn.

Respiratory Care: Felicia Knowles, Nortonville

Surgical Technology: Amy Kelley, Hopkinsville

Occupational Therapy: Jessica Bivins, Dunmoor

Clinical Laboratory Technology: Jessica Meredith, Hopkinsville

The Outstanding Student Award recipients are selected by the faculty in each program and discipline. The selection is based on academic standing, clinical performance, professional growth and attitude of the student.  The following students were recognized as outstanding students within their area of study:
